White House Holiday Dinner 12/20/2009 Diplomatic Reception Room (picture above) meet and greet with the President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama.I had so many things I wanted to tell the President. Mainly words of encouragement. I had planned out several things to tell the President, so he would know there are people (not just me, but people who made a promise to help change this country and who are still continuing to work for change) out there trying to help him but like a smooth operator I completely blanked. We shook hands, and then I shook hands with Michelle Obama.Now I was able to speak to the First Lady I told her “Pleasure to meet you, and you look absolutely beautiful this evening.” Now as I remember it I spoke softly… but thinking back the moment went by so fast I may have shouted that compliment at her. Awkward…Note: Now that I have the picture you will notice Michelle is bringing me in pretty close, so I think she was picking up what I was layin’ down. Just saying
